Okay, I figure I ought to come up with a general idea of how Dragon's World (which is technically a fantasy planet called Aiselvyn) works. General areas, who's king where, etc.
First off, there are three countries that will be considered important here.
1. Aeslyn
Where the Evergreen mountains are- they form its northern border. Most of this country/kingdom is desert. To the far south, there is a large grassland where most of the population has settled, and where the Emperor's fortress city is.
The Emperor of Aeslyn, Taillen, is, essentially, an absolute jerk. He took power by force, and he's generally hated by most of the population, but, because he is in control of a powerful army, no one speaks out against him.
2. Sailyten
The northern forest kingdom. It's southern border is the Evergreen Mountains. It has no official northern border, extending into the icy land to the far north. The capital is hidden deep in the forest, and the royal family tends to stay to their castle- in fact, the whole population is rarely seen farther south than the southern front of the mountains, where they occasionally venture for various reasons.
The royal family- Queen Sailytlyn, King Feyl, and Prince Ewyn- are good people, but they do not bother with anything that does not directly affect their people.
3. Asivar
The southern region is primarily grassland, with tropical forests near the southmost border- the sea. The King, Tenavel, is a good king, and a noble, brave man. He has been planning to fight Emperor Taillen for some time now, for the sake of ending his harsh rule.
_____________
Alright, that's the lands of Aiselvyn. Now, a bit about the people in general. About 70% of the population of Aiselvyn can transform into dragons. Most transform in a quick flash of light- one second, they're human, the next, they're dragons. Some, though, have the ability of a half-morph- meaning they transform gradually. This is rare, and tends to set these individuals apart, either hailed as great biengs, almost worshipped- or feared as abominations, monsters.
That's all I've got right now....
